I'm looking for some recommendations on good, trustworthy Volvo mechanics in Toronto, Canada.

If anyone can make a recommendation that would be great.

Not sure about your region, but in general you want to look for a shop that employs certificated service technicians. I'm not sure what the certificate title is referred to as in Canada; it is called ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in the U.S.

Also, try to find a shop that specialises in Euro makes. Never cheap out on parts; Volvos, like other makes, don't like to be treated with non-OEM parts (a few exceptions apply).

This is not a specific Volvo-focused shop, but I love my Carlaw Tire/Goodyear on Carlaw at Gerrard (in the plaza with the No Frills).

They solved my problems that the previous mechanic (Four O Nine on Bloor—avoid!) missed; are fair; offer a choice of Volvo parts from the dealer vs. non-manufacturer parts; and give deals to loyal customers. This neighbourhood (Riverdale) being a prime area of Volvos—and I've seen a few from time to time in the parking lot waiting for oil changes and tire installations—I'd trust this place with any of my car issues.
