Looking at two Volvos for sale. Can I get a price check?
I am currently looking at two V70 Volvos. I am just trying to determine which one is a better value:
1. 2004 V70 FWD, mileage 70K, 2.5T, clean interior and exterior, Carfax is clean (one owner, no reported accidents, not a leased or rental car), car is at the dealers lot with 30 days 1K miles warranty. Price $13,000.
2. 2003 V70 FWD, mileage 73K, 2.4 (not sure about turbo but I think this is a non-turbo engine), clean interior and exterior, Carfax is clean (one owner, no reported accidents, not a leased or rental car), this is private sale so no extra warranty. Price $10,900.
I haven't seen any of the cars in person yet. I am leaning toward the 2003 because I think I can lower the asking price more than I could do with the dealer. Also as far as I know (thanks to this forum) the throttle module problem is gone with 2003 models so there is really not a significant advantage to go with 2004.
What's your opinion?
Thanks.

I would go with whichever hasturbocharger (2.5T?). Turbocharged Volvos are really something. See if you can receive 2 or 3 more opinions to get better perspective.
