HELLO VOLVO COMMUNITY! I JUST RECENTLY CAME ACROSS A TURBO THAT I ASSUME IS FROM A VOLVO (says Volvo on it) AND I'M A LITTLE CURIOUS AS TO WHAT YEAR/MODEL VOLVO IT CAME OFF OF AND IF ITS WORTH A COUPLE BUCKS... A BUDDY OF MINE (whose a forum regular and directed me here) HAD A HARD TIME IDENTIFYING IT. THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO MARKINGS OR STAMPS ON THE TURBO TO HELP IDENTIFY IT. SO HE SUGGESTED I SNAP A COUPLE PICTURES AND POST IT ON HERE AND SEE IF THE VETERANS CAN FIGURE IT OUT. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!

P.S IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO TAKE A PICTURE OF A SPECIFIC SIDE/ANGLE THAT WOULD BETTER HELP, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Hi Gotaldin, welcome to the forum. Not sure what it does to the site and search engines but please do not use all caps so much in the future.

I have never pulled a turbo off any of my cars and I guess it's to a newer model. I'll switch this post to the General Volvo chat section and maybe you'll get more responses.

looks like a conical flange for the exhaust housing..

Could be a mitsu td04 series but...

With the lines going to the compressor side not the exhaust side. My guess would be it came off of one of the older 4 cyl models... Ie; 240, 740, 940 series
not 100 % sure thought

all the lines for the 850/70 series go to the exhaust side as seen here:

Second thought.... I found it.... it off of a 940 turbo...
