I wanted a new wheel, so I went 80's retro to suit the 740 and bought a wheel I've always really liked:

I bought this wheel cheap from a wrecker in Japan and re covered it with pigskin.
The small marks you see on the spokes are just from the re covering process, they will pop out with some heat and use.
Yes, you can re cover your own steering wheel. No, it is not easy or fun and takes some considerable time!

Blaupunkt am/fm cassette fired up and ready to go, too? How was mounting the phone electronics in the trunk? Pigtail antenna centered above the rear window? And don't tell me, you've added a "Baby on Board" plaque complete with suction cup?????? Real wire wheels, too? If so, you have a true time machine ready to go.

Like it. I always did. Strange to see a wheel without an airbag hub, however.

 

Don't laugh, I had one of those old 3 watt mobile phones back in the day, you know, the ones that were a battery pack with a shoulder strap and a handset with keys on it? lol

The R Sport wheels are all Momo wheels with a Volvo logo, so if you don't REALLY want an R Sport horn button, you can just buy the equivalent Momo for half the money, which i what I did!

I forgot just how nice it is to have a decent steering wheel on a car. It makes teh car feel more right somehow.........
