New Volvos 180 km/h limit

Obviously not a very popular issue... anyway, got my answer somewhere else.

This is silly.
Few people live in places where driving at over 112 mph/180 kph is feasible, practical, or legal.
Even fewer people would ever care to drive that fast.
Hence the reasons why it is unpopular.
Hybrid powertrains excel at rapid acceleration, sustained high speed driving will deplete the battery quickly, placing all the strain on the gas engine. I suspect stopping at that speed would also create problems. You're basically asking the car to do something it wasn't designed to do.
AMG makes several models that would be better suited to your needs. The new Corvette will top 190 mph/300 kph and be more stable at speed as well.

Such load of bull your answer mate, honestly, I already have a car that goes over 250 kmh, I dont need your guidance for AMG or Corvette, get a grip. I am buying this for my wife and it is great it is limited to 180 kms, not that she will ever go over 120.
Its not a matter of speeding, its a matter of being on the highway in a stretch of several miles and wanting to take the engine where it can go. Even if for a mere 10 seconds, thats called adrenaline.
I understand Volvo's commitment and I respect that. Just not my thing yet.
