newbie question....
I finally own a Volvo!! 
That being said....it's a 1996 850 Wagon (and I LOVE it!!), so it's tender. 
As you might guess, it needs some TLC 
...right now I need ball joints. VIP told me I have to replace the whole control arm, 
but Bond tells my hubby that if the Chassis number is lower than 37528 then we can order JUST the ball joints. (YAY!!)
I looked in my book to find the chassis number, my hubby looked all over the car, and neither of us can find it. I saw on one post that it is (can be?) the final numbers of the VIN (the vehicle being discussed was an older model then mine)....which I am hoping is true, since the last 5 numbers of my VIN is lower than the one Bond gave us as the cut-off!
BUT I want to be sure....any advice?
