no more diagnostics test from autozone
I HAVE NO CLUE IF ITS ONLY MY LOCAL AUTOZONE IN PINOLE,CALIFORNIA OR ALL LOCATIONS BUT THEY NO LONGERPERFORM THE OBD-II TEST.INSTEAD THE GUY GAVE ME A NUMBER AND APARTMENT ADDRESS TO A PERSON WHO WOULD DO IT FOR ME FOR $10-$20.THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE ODD
That sucks a big time[:@]!!
If it is for all locations, the company probably has determined that it was not profitable. I used to buy some consumables after a free OBD-II service bit I assume some people did not.
Oh well, you can still but an OBD-II scanner for yourself, though they are not cheap. I would go with Actron scanner.
I wonder if other parts shops are continuing the diagnostic service.

yep..even if i go for a free service i always end up buying something..even before i had my own car i would go and buy a magazine.I forget the brand but they hada scanner on sale for $149.99..sounded tempting but i dont need to own 1 just yet.
My local autozone in New London Connecticut just read my "engine light" code on Jan, 9, 2009 so I guess it's just your local. Sounds like you might want to call the main office and find out if maybe someone is running a scam for some extra cash.
