Default AutoZone Duralast Caliper's

What has been your experience with this caliper's. Price and convenience is right. Is the quality and performance acceptable?

I just replaced all calipers using the Autozone parts about 5 months ago. They work well. The price was great.

I gave up on AutoZone. They could not get it right!!!
We order the right front and received a left front boxed in a right side labelled box.
We re-ordered, but the second time we ordered a left front hoping to get the correct right hand caliper thinking maybe their boxes where mixed.
The second time we received a rear caliper in a box labelled as a left front caliper.

I re-ordered from O'Rielly's and they got it correct the first try. same price

I've seen that happen at many different parts stores. Basically, what happens is this: someone buys all the calipers for one axle of the vehicle, then returns his cores, but puts them in the wrong boxes. Boxes make it to the rebuilder, and the rebuilder's don't pay attention to what side it is, and they get sorted wrong. Since the calipers usually use the same parts, they get rebuilt as the wrong side, and then quality assurance is having an off day, and doesn't notice that the caliper in the box going by is a mirror image.

I believe the Duralast calipers are just reboxed A-1 Cardone calipers. A-1 Cardone is a HUGE parts remanufacturer- most chain stores stock their stuff, though often in a private label box.
