Default Nokian WR G2 all season/winter tires

This time of year I need to put in my annual plug for Nokian WR G2 all season/winter tires. They are Consumer Reports top rated performance winter tire right now.

I've been running them all year long for a few years. The only all season tire that works well in slush and snow (most so-called all seasons are really 3 seasons).

Of course they are still a compromise. And not cheap. But if you want to run one set of tires all year and live up north (I am 40 miles north of Boston), these are the only tires I found that I liked.

This will be my second winter with my nokian hakka studded tires. We didn't get that much snow last winter (i'm from montreal), but whatever we did get, the hakka's performed like champs! it was my first time with studs on (check local laws to see if you can have studs first before buying!) and they were great. They do produce a slight " hum" when driving, i actually find them more quiet then my summer tires! when driving and taking a curve, you see all the snow being shot up in the air!! good stuff! These tires are great even without studs, i highly recommend them.

Nokian knows snow tires. I have their all seasons because I only want one tire, but those Hakkapeliitta 5 with the factory square studs sound awesome for a dedicated winter tire.

yes they are awesome!!! my brother convinced me to get them and i'm glad i did...he was telling my that the stud itself is not just the square tip sticking out but a LONG stick going all the way deep into the rubber...they do make good tires. he also had the V for summer tires and rocked!
