Default Oil Leak, Please Help!!!

Hi Everyone,
I have a 2000 Volvo S40 and have a pretty bad oil leak that is leaking all over my belt, alternator, etc... I can't seem to pin point the exact location, but when I pulled off the timing belt cover, I noticed there is a mist of oil coming out of the cam shaft area. Could this be it? Could it possibly be the head gasket as well. Is there a dye where I can add to detect the leak. Is this a common issue with this vehicle?
Please help!!!

Thanks
Ken

Probably cam seals or the CVVT hub. There's plenty of info on both of these around here.
