OTC OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tool work well on Volvo (2008 C30 specifically)
Trying to diagnose the issue with my non working key fob. I know it’s not the fob battery and the dealer told me the fob is putting out a signal, they’re just not sure what’s wrong on the car that’s keeping the car from receiving the signal.
The key/fob works to start the car but none of its buttons work and the doors, etc will not lock/unlock.
Dealer said it would charge $165 to diagnose the issue and it could be an issue with either the sensor, antenna or module.
ive read it may be a bad fuse for the module and not necessarily a bad module, anyone experience that?
or it could be a synchronization issue and disconnecting the car battery and letting it sit a bit and then reconnecting the car battery could fix that issue.
Any help would be most appreciated.
