I am planning to get a C70, but I like to do OD. So far have done it twice with BMW and their ED which is really great. Does somebody had done it before with Volvo and how are the savings with their program.

i would love to do it but i dont have the funds, being that i am in high school.........maybe in 50 yrs

The Volvo Overseas Delivery Program has been around for years. Edmunds.com says that Volvo, Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW all have this program in one form or another but rates the Volvo Overseas Delivery Program as the best.

Basically, you pick out a Volvo here in North America, pick it up in Sweden where Volvo hosts you in a luxury hotel for a couple of nights, limo to the factory where they give you a "royal treatment" tour of the facility, and you pick up your car to tour around Europe for a vacation. Then the car is shipped from an authorized port to your home dealer for you. That's it. No additional costs to the new buyer (unless you consider touring around Europe at your pleasure in your new Volvo).

Wow, that sure is a nice package... I would love to buy a new C70 and take it for a drive in Europe.

 

If you haven't yet done this, I highly recommend it! My C70 will arrive home this week. The overseas delivery program was everything Volvo promised it would be. The only hard part is waiting, but the way I look at it, I will get to have that new car pickup experience twice, once in Sweden and once back home.
