Part manufactured in Germany, no Romania ... Wha?
One of those parts with too many names.
* cam shaft adjuster solenoid, exhaust side 1275363
* cam shaft adjusting unit
* cam shaft hub
Asked an Ebay merchant, ‘What is the country of manufacture?’
He answered, ‘Germany.’ Bought it.
When it arrived, the blue Volvo box had a decal saying, ‘Made in Germany.’
The part had a decal saying, ‘Made in Germany.’
The part itself was stamped ‘Romania.’
Question: what is going on here?

Were the decals identical? Could someone have simply added decals. Remember, "Germany sells".
Could one part of the cam adjuster hub/unit/solenoid have been built in Romania then shipped to Deutschland for final assembly?
Could the new owners of Volvo be feeling out the capabilities, limitations and circumstances of the parts suppliers already in the pipeline?
We'll likely never know.
