Please help me!!!
I have a 2002 s60 2.4t with an automatic. Not sure if there was another option or not. I am ignorant when it comes to Volvo's, although I am mechanically inclined. We recently got a heavy snow and I got it stuck in a snow drift that I had no clue of estimating its depth. My phone was dead and I was in the middle of nowhere. knowing it is not good to shift from forward to reverse and back I did so anyways seeing as how I did not see another option. I did this only for a minute or two before placing the car in park and sitting idling hoping for a miracle. Hours later a good Samaritan came along and pulled me out. Afterwards I put my car in drive and drove a few feet only for my car to stop driving forward, then start again for a few more feet then stop. it was not as if it came to an immediate stop just a lack of power to the wheels. After which I just shut it down and had it towed to my parents house. The engine still runs great, I am wondering if my tranny is just totally shot or if there is anything else it could be? maybe a traction control sensor or something? I know these cars are incredibly complex with a vast array of electronics. Outside of this little issue I have had no problems and love the car. Like I said I am new to Volvo's so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
