2001 c70 coupe was driven through a flood, car has no power, i havent done anything with it yet, not even disconnected the battery. fuses look good, unless i didnt see the main fuse?where is it? could it just be that i need an ecm? does the ecm tell the other modules to turn on? is their a way to reset the car so to speak? im good with cars but havent had this problem yet. please help me volvo techs!

Do you have power to the main fuse/relay panel under the hood?

Default no power due to dead battery. engine seized

trying to take off oil pan to see whats wrong inside, my guess is a cracked piston from rapid cooling due to hydrolock when driving through a flood. is their a special way to get it off? its all loose but doesnt seem like theirs enough room it seems that i need to lift the engine a little as the pan is getting caught on the passenger side of the cradle.

has anyone came across a seized engine and tried to fix it? what was the problem and solution? anyone experienced with volvo engines would be suggested to reply, thanks a lot.

Jack the motor up some and remove the R/S engine mount and then stick a 2x4 between the craddle and mount spot or the crank pulley then it should slide out.

Most motors I have seen that hydrolocked took a chunk out of the bottom of the cylinder.
Making it not a good chance on rebuilding it.

problem solved, total cost for repair in parts $550, work done by myself a 23 year old tinkerer . engine needed two connecting rods #1 & #5 and a piston in #5, throttle was stuck so that needed some cleaning for the electronic throttle to have enough torque to open it, and misinterpreted the timing mark for the crank(the mark on the crankpulley should be directly pointing at the top middle of the cylinder head. car runs like a champ, going to sell for the right price. thanks everyone for your help

did you use a code reader prior to doing the work?
