02 s60--- when i press the lock button on the remote, all the doors lock except the front passenger door. The door lock "peg" goes down and pops back up. Its weird because sometimes it takes about 3-5 presses before it stays locked... and sometimes it stays down on the first try.

I went thru the owners manual to see if this was normal, but there were no mentions of it.

What i need to know is if this is normal or if this needs to be brought into the dealer for repairs (i'm still under warranty).

They shouldn't give a problem make sure you show someone what it is doing.

 

why is it that only when the remote is used to lock the doors, it happens... but if i lock the doors by inserting the key into the drivers side, theres no prob?

 

I believe it is when you use the key you get the parts moved all the way to hold the Microswitch down.
When you use the remote it depends on the lock motor to do it.
