putting money into my 1996 850 ?
Hello, out there I have a 1996 850 wagon with 285,000 miles it is my daily driver and I do about 120 miles a day all highway . The question is should I put any money into it she runs tops, looks great inside and out, burns about a qrt of oil between oil changes. I took it in to the dealer to clear out codes for the abs warning light ,the tech said not to put any money into it . the only problem with the car is the warning light . I have done all the maintaine on this car since I purchased it in 1999 with 120,000 for $3000.00. any one have imput for weather I should put money into it ? Thanks paul

IMO the 850 is the best car volvo built in the last 20 years. It's certainly my favorite car.
And they're not building any more of them, so if you can, i would keep it going. Of course there is always a point of diminishing returns; if you're at that point, then start looking for a lower mile version for sale...
BTW: the S70 is my 2nd favorite car; just picked a low mileage '98 model. Why a '98? Because i don't want anything with an ETM!
