Today while listening to the radio all audio stopped, I looked and the radio screen was blank, then I see the Volvo icon. Ah --- so the radio is rebooting but why? I had big problems with the infotainment system in a 2015 Subaru Outback and don't want it to happen with my 2016 V60. I bought the car in March 2019 as a CPO car and I still have a lot of warranty remaining.

While I have a warranty, should I bring this up with the service department?

 

Of course. That's what warranty is for isn't it?

 

I guess my real question should have been are their documented problems out there with head units? For my 6 months of owning a CPO Subaru Outback that car needed two head unit replacements. The HU in those cars was a known problem but I haven't read that the HU's in my Volvo are a known problem.

 

I personally haven't run across this issue on this car, so I wouldn't say it's really common. Obviously not impossible though.

 

Maybe I'll see if it does it again. It could have been just one of those computer things?
