So I've worked on cars all my life, eh? Then why is it that I can't find the dumb dipstick for my 2002 XC70's transmission? Can I assume there is NOT one to check the tranny fluid level???? I'm just stumped. Help. It's nowhere in the owners manual, only specs and capacity.

It is hidden under the lower radiator hose. It is a major pain to find. But it is yellow. Move the lower radiator hose and look around good.

It is a major pain I sometimes have a hard time finding it as well.
And I know exactly where to look.

 

okay i'll join the retard club, I cannot find the dipstick for the tranny. I have a 2002 C70, I removed the intake hose to the air filter and even wiggled the airbox out of the way. I've googled and checked under the lower hose coming out of the radiator, but no luck. Does anyone have a picture of where the dipstick for tranny is supposed to be??? please help.

 

Here is a thread from a while back including pics. It's a different model and a non-turbo but the dipstick is still in the same location.
