rear right fog lamp not working
I have a 2007 Volvo XC-90. I turned on the rear fog lamps (red in color) and the right rear did not work. I removed the cover to notice that it did not have wiring or a bulb in the light. Is this common? Do I have a defective light? Any answers?
They were made to only have 1 light to help people see you in fog, heavy rain or snow (it's how it is designed). If you somehow get 2 to work, it will look like you have your brakes on. One will do the trick.
If 2 brighter tail lights would lead someone to believe you're on your brakes, then one brighter tail light would lead them to believe you have a brake light out. If you're driving in conditions requiring rear fog lights, the illusion that you are on your breaks should work in your favor by causing drivers behind you to slow down sooner.
