HELP! Anyone know of a reputable company that has rebuilt Volvo engines?? Everything listed online no longer handles them. Got a bent rod in #3 cylinder and no compression even though all others are good but don't think this engine is worth rebuilding.

 

what year / engine? Are you looking for a short block or long block? My suggestion is to shop for a used engine in good shape. check what's available via car-part.com

Why do you think your engine is not worth rebuilding? Has the engine been torn down yet?

 

No one spends the money to rebuild those 20-25 year old aluminum engines. (unless it's a R guy) The cost would be more than the car could ever be worth. You might source a used engine if you are capable of putting it in yourself - otherwise sorry for your loss. I'm trusting this is same same car you had ac control unit problems with.
