Removing aftermarket Sirius antenna
My love affair with Sirius, never very strong, is over. I have an '07 V70 that I had the dealer install the system in when it was new--he obviously sent it out to the Wal Mart auto shop, and I've never been happy with it--reception was fine, but the antenna itself is cheap looking and I want to get rid of it--I think it is glued to the roof--it has a thin flat cable leading from the unit back through the tailgate edges to the unit under the cargo floor. Seems simple enough to remove, but I'm afraid of scratching things up if I yank on it or try squirting goof-off or some such under it. (Btw, the dealer is now far away.) Any ideas? And thanks very much.
It's that glue that car manufacturers use for mounting insignia/names/numbers. Heat from a blow dryer will soften it then metal fishing line or strong fingers will pull it up. roll the glue on the car withyour fingers to finish.
Personally, I love Sirius
