Repairing Side View Mirror
The glass is cracked on the Passenger Side View Mirror (2001 V70-Turbo Station Wagon). I was told I could replace just the glass, instead of the entire unit - the housing is not damaged. Does anyone know how to do this? Can I do it myself or should I have mechanic do it?
Thanks,

I think he is looking for instructions. If you can find one in the yard it will be easy. Inside of the door has a little panel that you pull off, at least on the S90's. Then there are two screws and a wire connection. You may have to pull the door panel loose to get at the electrical connection.

Thanks folks for the replies. To my surprise, I was able to do it quite simply - purchased the mirror without the full housing for $ 50. Simply unhooked the two cables from the old, broken one, attached them to new one and basically just snapped it into the housing. I must admit to being slightly shocked when the automatic adjustment actually worked!!!
