Reset TCM counter after trans flush?
So, I have done the trans drain/fill 3 times on my recently purchased 2000 V70XC. Trans would work OK when cold, but lose all drive when warm. Seemed OK while running on jackstands after flush but arrow warning light now flashing and still slips when warm but will now slip INTO gear for short bursts.
I recently bought a couple of VADIS discs off EBay. They are a freakin' nightmare to use if you are an old geezer like me. I stumbled across a note in there that says the Transmission Control Module (TCM, or VCT) has a counter that is to be reset after trans fluid changes. In all I have read on this site about the multitude of auto trans troubles on these cars, no one has mentioned this.
Can anyone elaborate on this?
Much thanks in advance.
