Hi,
I am trying to fix a friends 2001 S40.

DTC P0700.
What happend is that the winter switch was mechanically blocked (dirt/dust on the switch) and the girl drove with the winter switch on for quite a while.
My best bet is that there is a error stored in TCM, but how to reset it? The closest Volvo dealer would be 250 miles away.
My OBD tool is vagcom by ross-tech, so I can reset the DTC, but TCM ??

Try visiting a local AutoZone, if there is any, and have them try resetting it with their OBD-I scanner. If they use Actron CP9175 scanner, it may be able to reset it, but no guarantee.
