I have a 2005 s40 diesel SE.
Its a 50 litre tank i think and if i get 480 miles from a tank i have done well. Is this a usual performance?
i drink 400 miles a week and 90% of those are motorway miles.

also i have 17"" wheels and 205 50 17 93 w xl tyres on. I am no boy racer but a new set of budget tyres lasted less then 20000 miles. Is this usual? I wonder if i can fit 16"" wheels on my axles and then benefit form cheaper tyre prices since for my wheel size they are way expensive! roughtly £60 per corner for a budget and £150 for Pirelli or equivalent..

Got through 6 tyres in 30000 miles!
