Hi. guys i need help. i have one S40 1.6 petrol 2008, and in the front of engine is to much noise like it is looks like the exhaust pipe is broken. This is only heard when i accelerate to much the engine or when i climb the slope. i want to mention that i changed the clutch last year , i think it is 7 months , but it is the same the noise .can someone help me with good info. about.... thank you very much

"but it is the same noise..." , if it is the same noise, why do you not suspect the same fault?

Clutch should last longer than 7 months, unless you drive with your foot resting heavily on the clutch pedal or have a bad mechanic.
However, pumping exhaust into the engine compartment could introduce exhaust into the passenger compartment although Volvo makes an effort to route the engine compartment away from the HVAC intakes., Still, it pays to be careful there.
How long have you had the car?
Any odor?
How does the clutch feel?

 

Hi Donf. I have this car from Nov 2019 with 73000 miles ( now i have 83000) on the screen. About the clutch i dont know what to say, i can't see problem there . By the way, on screen show me the code 267 message, i don't know what is this. i check it but i did't find something about that. About garage, i went to 3 garages and the last one he told me this noise it is from Intake manifold( the flaps ) they are problems . no i brought one intake manifold secondhand the same model and i don't see to have flaps, so it is not from there. Donf can you tell me please where can i find , about the code messages which shows on screen... to see what is this (267 message )
