I purchased an 04 volvo S40I, it was running fine but i replaced the rotors and break pads and the car was running but after driving about 5 miles the car started to slow down and advised me to up shift but i did and it was just loosing speed, it also said maintenance required then the red oil light came on and i parked the car and now the car wont start. All i get when I try to turn it on is maintenance required, can some one help?

 

OIL LIGHT, not good. is there indeed oil on the stick? a scan by VOLVO.

 

Everything happend so fast, i guess the check engine light came on and the oil light but i guess thats because the car had been shut for over 5 seconds while it still ran. I did check the oil and it has good amount since the oil change was done like a month ago and I havent driven the car much because i was waiting to replace the breaks and rotors. The car wants to start but it just wont.

 

Get it scanned at autozone for free, preferably VOLVO and get me some codes.

 

The car wont start so i cant take it to Autozone but i will take it to a mechanic down the Road that will be able to give me codes. I dont have a code machine and right about now I wish i did. Stay tuned to help me Thank you!
