S60 suspension comfort (1st vs. 2nd gen)
Hi, I am new in the Volvo world and hoping to get some advice.
Some of the reviews I have read have mentioned that 2nd gen s60 has a pretty harsh suspension. Here in this forum I have also come across mentions of the stiffness of its suspension, but, of course, such judgements may be pretty subjective (I'm looking for a softer one, though). My question is this: how different is the stiffness of s60 suspension between the 1st and 2nd generation s60? And do I understand correctly that s60 does have a softer suspension than s40?
Also, another issue that pops up from time to time is the turning radius, with people saying that it is not great for s60. Is there a considerable difference in this regard between the 1st and 2nd gen s60?

I have an 06 s60 and the turning radius isn't great. You will rub your tires before reaching full lock. I put 15mm spacers on my front wheels and still have a large turning radius but no more rubbing. I cant speak much for the suspension because I switch to coilovers shortly after purchasing my car used since the struts were shot anyways.

I have encountered a number of accounts about the turning radius, with some saying that it is around 38ft (which I perhaps could live with), while other have reported it to be over 40, which seems to be getting into the trickier side.
