Has anyone used Mobile synthetic atf for transmission change. Is it compatible with dexron III as specific in the manual? Would appreciate any comment

Please note that I'm not privy to the S80s, as I'm an 850 driver.

I wouldn't use any synthetic products for ATF. Synthetic engine oils do have quite a few benefits, but for transmission's operation there does not seem much benefit and in fact some people have had trouble by switching to synthetic, and they've used products that claimed they were compatible.

I would replace the ATF with whatever they put in the factory; the ATF specified in the owner's manual. You probably know, that ATFs are not compatible and if wrong type of fluid is introduced into the system, it can do a lot of damage.

This is just a generalised opinion, so please wait until other experts reply.
