I have bought a 2003 S80, D5, SE, 62K on the clock, full history, 1 owner.
There is a grinding nice when turning the wheel left or right.
Have checked the suspension arms, PS fluids etc.
Have read that this could be an inherent fault, is this true?

There are normally a bush either side which stop the wheel touching the inner arch which is probably the noise have you checked the inside of the arch for tyre rub. Check for the bushes on the bottom arm to see what it's touching this is the arm or bar that hangs off the cv joint. It should be against rubber
