Seatbelt stuck. What can I do?
My seatbelt has been a bit wonky the past few months as I have to pull on it a few times for it to come out. However, the last time I couldn't even get it to budge! It won't come out no matter how many times I pull and I've tried opening the cover, but the seatbelt won't get loose enough so I can pull off the cover. I can open it somewhat and I see it's wrapped a little funny and not perfectly coiled up.
But I have no idea how to fix this and really don't have the money to go to a mechanic right now. Are there any tools I can use to uncoil the belt and try again? Is there any sort of technique I'm missing?
Thanks so much!
Ps it's a Volvo s40 2000

Check with the dealer and see if by chance there is a "forever" warranty on seat belt components. Many manufacturers are so sensitive to lawsuits on defective seat belts they will fix them for free regardless of time or miles. And if the first dealer says no, check with a few others.
