twice in the past two weeks i have been unable to get my 1993 240 volvo out of park. i kept trying and eventually it went into gear. the car is an automatic. one time i got out and rocked the car. i dont know if that helped.
does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. thanks mike[:-][:-][:-][&:]

 

lol...the shifter is locked.....probably due to a worn out bushing. However....there is a locked shifter release lever inside the stick housing. Just stick your fingure in there and pull/push (i forget...it's been awhile) that little lever and it'll loosen up for you. Until you get a chance to have it looked at....avoid parking on hills. That tends to make it worse.
