Should I or Shouldn't I? 960 or 240...HELP
Hey People...............I have the option to buy either a 1992 960 Volvo Sedan that is white with all options and black leather interior or a 1993 240 wagon. The 960 is nice but has a broken timing belt and all I know is it doesn't run so not sure i the pistons made contact with the valves or not but its on $550. The 240 is excellent on the outside with no rust and the paint shines but the interior needs some help. It is $1200 but it is a five speed which I love! Help!!!!!!!!!1
Hello,
As I'm an 850 driver, I am not privy to those models. However, I would definitely avoid the 960 if it has a broken timing belt. The previous owner failed to have one of the most critical maintenance done, and I assume there are more troubles with the car. The $550 could turn out $2,000 or more in the next few weeks.
I would post a thread in the 240 and ask people there in regard to the car; how it's like to drive 240 and what the common problems are.
Good luck,
JPN
