Default Sitting Volvo

I am in the market for an early 90's volvo wagon. I have been doing lots of research and taking my time in looking for that perfect volvo for me. I ran across one that looks to be in great condition and decent miles for the year but it has been garaged and not driven for 7 years.

My question is: what are the main issues I should consider for a car that has been sitting this long? Fluids? etc.

Buy a battery, warm it up, drive it a bit, then change all the fluids. I would drain the fuel tank first and add a few gallons of fuel with a strong dose of fuel system cleaner and clear the line up to the engine first.
The fuel system will be the biggest headache if you have one at all.

If it's been garaged there should not be any big deals unless it's been very cold often. Not sure how to drian the tank other than disconnect the fuel filter line and turn the car on. It will squart fuel out like a high powered water hose.

Do drive it, all other sitting problems will show their head pretty fast. My big fear would be a rotted out timing belt. Break that and you're done. Maybe you should let them drive it first. LOL
