HI there i have a volvo v40 t4 turbo car over heated thay said i blew gasket when we removed head no sighn of gasket blown but water and oil did mix her is funny part the temperature gauge never showed overheating car drove normal did not even miss totally confused. a friend of mine had the exact same problem and volvo south africa knows about the problem?

The coolant and oil may have mixed due to an internal radiator leak.
That often gets mistaken for a head gasket failure.

If the engine coolant is mixing with the oil circulating the oil cooler you need a new radiator.
i would not personally use any additives hoping for a successful outcome.
