car swings but don't start,have driven car for 2 weeks with management system light on, no problems, car only switches off now and then when idling.Now it does'nt want to start at all-swings but do not start- checked and cleaned icv, also checked maf, cant really see anything wrong inside - can i clean the maf and with what? and could there be something else wrong?
just joined the forum so i am still new - hope someone can assist please

 

I don't think a bad MAF would stop the car from starting. You likely have a fuel delivery problem. Can you check your fuel pressure? Do you hear the fuel pump turn on and off when you try to start it?

 

You need to have the trouble codes read. If I understand "management system light on" then your Check Engine Light (CEL) is on indicating the engine's computer has set a trouble code. Certainly someone has an OBD-II reader there?
