spark plug issues
hi i have a quick question regarding spark plugs. i have a 2016 volvo t5 cross country wagon. 2.5 turbo, i brought in to firestone and thdf changed the plugs. they used 4704 denso iridium tt plugs. one is bent and i’ve been told these might be the correct plugs. i am told they need oe metal iridium. when checking this out i’m coming up with different plugs. i’m also getting websites thsf say the 4704 no not fit thst model. any suggestions? please help in desperate need of answers
I always look at rockauto if I want to just see 20 answers to the question. Even if 4 of the answers are wrong, you at least get an idea.
One Idea I get looking at this is that the OE recommended gap is 0.03 and the 4704 comes preset at 0.04. Based on that I wouldn't trust too many people to install them. My volvos have crazy small spark plug gaps. .030 is still pretty small.
Bosch and NGK both make a plug that is preset more like a Volvo would like.
