Swap Gearbox 245L M45 to M46
Hello I currently own a Volvo 245 L, which was first registered in France in February 1976. The engine is a B20A coupled to an M45 transmission. I know this configuration is quite rare, but I've checked it out and it's really an M45. Now I would like to know if it is possible to keep the bell housing and install an M46 instead. Certainly, the length of the shaft that connects the gearbox to the rear differential is different, but would it be any other element that cannot make this exchange possible? Greatfull for any infos Thank you
