Synapse BOV, BS or the bee's knees?

Synapse BOV, BS or the bee's knees?
I have been hearing a lot of things about Synapse's BOV being way better then HKS ect. Has anyone tested this to be true? or is this all BS. Plus, would this be a good upgrade for a stock volvo or just not necessary?
