This is my first time on this site. I am thinking about buying a 1998 S70 T5 from a friends dad. It has 216000 mi for $2400. It looks and runs great. just concerned about the mileage. Also just wondering if it is a good price? Can anyone give me some insight about this. I attached a pic of it

If it's in good condition it's worth it; that's a desirable model year (MY) and model for sure. Have it ckd out by indy pro tech before you buy if possible.

Plan on working on it because of its age and mileage but very nice car if maintained. Most of the maintenance can be done by DIYer if you're into that; if not, may get expensive...

If the car has been well maintained that would be a great price for a nice car that could last for many years. I usually check car values at www.NADAGuides.com. My car has over 223,000 and I plan to put another 200,000+ on it. They are super comfortable and have strong motors and trannys. If you can do maintenance and repairs yourself you'll be happy, if not, like GDog said, it can get expensive (mainly because of age).

Thanks for your advise. I really like the car. My friends dad that is selling it is a mechanic and I trust he wouldn't sell it to me or he would tell me if he knew something was wrong with it. He only had it for a year my friends sister used it. She bought a new car and has no need for this one anymore. There is no service record. I asked him about the timing belt. He said he didnt replace it.
