Thinking of getting into Volvo Sales...Getting cold feet. Any postive experiences?
My buddy and I have decided to kind of jump into the Volvo sales business, as in buying up the 300-500$ ones that pop up on craigslist and ads, and old farm houses and such. I'm a cheap-o myself, and bought my 240 for $275 and did the little bit of work it needed myself, and my buddy bought his for $300 and we fixed it up ourselves as well. I've never really had it in me to spend 800+ on them. Does anyone know how well the market is selling 240/740s for 800-1000? I'm only getting cars with good bodies and interiors, with general wear and tear, and maybe one or two (if any) mechanical issues I know I can fix quickly. For example, I'm picking this on up tomorrow: http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/1996528520.html and this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...AQ:MOTORS:1123
I kind of tight on cash right now, which is why I decided to try this business, because I am confident in my knowledge of the cars and their motors, but I'm just not familiar with the market for them, because I don't want to wait months and months to sell them for $1000, and I don't want to waste my time just selling them for what I paid (because you can always sell a $500 car) because I can't wait any longer to sell them...
