Default Tire Size Question

Thanks for the add to this group.
I recently purchased a 2013 Volvo V40 T5 Cross country. I purchased the car with 235/40 R18 tires and the dealership in Guadalajara told me that the original tires would have been 225/45 R18. I have a super steep driveway and scrape the front trim piece when I enter my garage. My question is this, could I go to a 235/50 R18 or 225/50 R 18 and gain about an inch of ground clearance without affecting anything else? I would expect a slight variation in the speedometer reading..
Thanks for any insight!

1 inch is not really slight. But yeah, the car isn't going to know if you change all 4.
