On my 2000 C70 the driver and passenger seats won't tilt forward. The seats still move forwards and backwards but the back won't tilt forward so you can get to the back seats. Is this related to the spring fix I've read about or is it related to something else? What's the fix? Thanks, DT

 

Sounds more like one of the internal cables is broken. Volvo sells these parts individually and I recall reading they are not too expensive ~25-35$. There was a post on it's replacement, but that was a really old post.

 

Thanks, I'll check it out. Do you think i need to pull the seat out or should it be accessible from underneath or in the back part of the seat?

 

IIRC the post I read on the replacement needed to have the cover removed for replacement. Directions may have been off VADIS. If I come across the post I will add the link.
