Default Volvo on Call Subscription renewal

Can anyone tell me if they generally offer a discount off the standard rate if you let your existing subscription lapse, like most subscription services do? Seems like a lot to spend just basically for remote climate control. Thanks -

Can't believe I broke down and paid the $200. What a rip off.

If they employed physical force to make you pay, that is robbery and is illegal everywhere.
If they employed intimidation to make you pay, that is coercion and is illegal in most U.S. jurisdictions.
If you paid the $200 because you felt you were getting something of value, that is called a "purchase".

Oh man, this is so convenient! I was hoping I could find somebody who could provide me some expertise. I have a few other terms that I’m curious about the definitions of, when you get around to it could you let me know?

Please define:
captive market
zero marginal cost
jerk
monopoly provider
consumer lock in

Man it’s crazy how many nerds and losers fill up the Internet, just roaming around looking to be jerks to other people. Get a life.

I guess I was supposed to be upset with your little name calling but I've been called worse by real men,

I also have little patience for someone using the old let the subscription expire and the call the company up and whine to get a few bucks off. I remember when I first heard about it 15 or 20 years ago with Sirius or XM radios. thought it was silly then, still do. However, I do know exactly what I charge per hour and it really seems a better use of my time to simply put it on auto renew. YEMV

I really got a chuckle out of your post - anyone worrying about a $200 bill for anything Volvo may well have purchased beyond his means.

The best you can do with your incredibly valuable time is spend 5 days thinking up super awesome subtle insults to strangers on the internet to post at 135 AM. What a real man, lol. Ever wonder what your wife is up to while you're making your 600 posts on Volvo forums? You probably don't mind, truck stop bathroom is more your style. Time to head off and find another volvo forum thread where someone asking an honest question deserves a good bit of internet muscles you pansy.

Since this forum seems to be your life, you might want to consider that you've posted 600 stupid posts, and 11 people total ever liked one of them. Pretty pathetic.

Well Bitcoin has fallen 55% since 1/22/21, and Volvo got at least a little smarter and put some promos out there to cut the price by 50%. Since you have it on auto-renew you probably just paid $200 like a sucker but since you are such a proud capitalist I'm sure you are proud of it. In the past year you've posted 65 more posts, and gotten *2* more likes on them, so it sounds like you continue to value your time very highly. Until next year!
