Just a question. Has anyone ever heard of "volvo Gordy"?

Yes he's a volvo mechanic from wisconsin and is in washington a lot of the time.

 

I'M FROM WISCONSIN! Never heard of him though.

 

Its just kindof a goofy question not meant to be serious, he doesn't work on any of the new stuff, mainly the old stuff.

 

Yeah, actually I know him... Why? He had to crush all his Volvo's though.

 

I'm Volvo Gordy. I just started getting the hang of forums relatively recently and a buddy told me he saw questions about me so here I am. I'm in central wisconsin. Had to scrap over a hundred vintage Volvo's because county threatened to take my land. Saved as much as I could. It's a barnfull and I need it considerably reduced. It's totally disorganised. I believe if someone wanted to take the pile on as a business inventory, it could be profitable. Not me. I'm winding down. Still have lots of unfinished project cars gradually deteriorating. Open to suggestions, but really...just bring a few containers, a couple car haulers. I'm ready to deal. I repaired Volvos only over forty years and am still willing to help enthusiasts out, but frankly, I'm low income and could use some cash.

 

I am Tad Hurst, You knew (know?) my sister Cat Hurst. I visited her and you in Wisconsin probably in the 80s.

She gave you a movie camera that had been my dad's, along with a 4-light bar. I was wondering if you might still have that, and if I could arrange to get it. It is a piece of memorabilia for me.
