Default Volvo pad and disc replacement

Hi I'm Fingerdancer I'm new to this site,I have been replacing the said items in the title of this thread,I got the "how to" from the site.Could I just share my experiance with you? The front brakes are a breeze no longer than 1/2 hour each side, however, be aware they will want a couple of bolts screwed into the disc before you can draw them off, no amount of hitting the disc will shift them! Okay no problem force the pistons back into the bores and you are home and dry,job done. Now the BACKS,this is a whole new can of worms, firstly you must release the hand brake, chock the wheels so as you don't get roll back, you may have trouble getting the caliper and the disc off but with a little luck you will be able to do it. The big problem is ( I had no manual to guide me here) you will need a special tool to WIND the piston back into the bore or you are in grief city. At this point I was glad that I still had the old discs and pads because I ended up putting the lot back together otherwise no car!! I need now to hunt down a retracting tool in order to finish the job.Just wanted to share that with you.
