Hi Val,

I've been having the same search dilemma in Greater Detroit. I found these guys, they are located in Ann Arbor near Briarwood Mall (I-94 and State St. exit).

I can't give you an endorsement as I have not been there (yet), but reading through their site they seem to know what they're talking about, and they are ASE certified mechanics.

They also have a West coast location for those interested.
