Hi there!
I am a new member and wondered if anyone could help me with a problem. I have a Volvo S60 D5 SE Manual, just over 3 years old. It has been as good as gold,but recently after say a 15 mile journey to the shops, I went back to the car and it was dead. You can turn the key,but just silence,no effort to crank. However,you can then leave the car a couple of hours,go back and it starts first time. This is now happening repeatedly and it is now in the care of a Volvo Specialist. The battery is definitely o.k. and the Volvo Specialist is wondering whether to start re-newing various parts - GREAT. He is muttering things like 'ignition electrics??' and dodgy Starter Motor?. Please help!!!!! Many thanks.

 

It had to be something electrical that is loosing connection for a little while.
