I have owned several Volvos over the years the newest one being a 95 850. I am considering a newer one say a V 70 or XC 70. I have had several people, well, actually 3 people tell me that after Ford took over in '98 that it's just not the same car as far as durability and safety. Anyone in here have any thoughts on this? Thanks for the time.

 

Since the goverment made the strick rules all company's are struggling with the durability factor.

The Safety is still the same but the others have suffered from that.
